There have been at least two artists who have used the artist name Carola. Chronologically the first was a Finnish singer Carola Standertskjöld-Liemola (born in Helsinki, 3 March 1941 - died in Kirkkonummi November 12, 1997), who was a famous pop and jazz singer in Finland especially in the 1960s and the 1970s. The second is Swedish singer Carola Maria Häggkvist. Carola Maria Häggkvist (born in Stockholm on 8 September 1966) is a Swedish singer and for a while a member of the Livets Ord congregation. She appeared on television for the first time after winning a talent show in 1977.
